Ordering a Service Call



Please Note that we no longer work in Central London or in the Congestion Zone Areas (see map below)
For a service call or repair we require written confirmation  by e-mail to: with the following information :
1) Site Address.
2) Billing Address.
3)  A brief description of the fault. 
Q : Is the problem affecting everyone in your block or just you ?
Q : Name of manufacturer (if known) a makers name is handy so that we can bring along the correct parts if available, or e-mail (not text) a picture if you are unsure.
Q : Is it an AUDIO or VIDEO system ?
The more information you can give at the call out stage, the less time we need to spend on site . . . . . which costs you less !  Most faults are corrected within the first hour, due to the extensive parts carried on our vans. 

IMPORTANT NOTE : Depending on how the system is wired, we may need access to your neighbour(s) property to correct a fault in your flat as some systems are looped on from the flat downstairs.

Payment is required on completion by cash or cheque (please pay engineer) we do not operate a no fix no fee service, a charge is payable for attending site to cover time, fuel and wear / tear. We do not do free visits as we are a business, not a charity. Cheques payable to Intercoms R us Ltd.
We generally require 24 Hours notice to cancel a call, so that we can book in other work, should you need to cancel a call out you should first call 0780 388 2407 or send an e-mail to and ensure that you get a reply to your message confirming cancellation. 
If the engineer is en-route to the appointment a charge will be made to cover our costs and a lost slot for other work. 
We are able to give accurate estimates for off the shelf door entry system installations and access control systems without the need for a site visits (unless a bespoke system is required), as we have fitted a few over the years . . .  this enables us to keep costs down and provide a better service.
We regret that free site visits for estimates ended with the Congestion Charge, fuel price hikes & excessive parking charges.

2.1 Products can be purchased from our web site by using the shopping cart, completing the on-line order form and submitting your card details via the NOCHEX secure server

2.2 You are deemed to have placed an order with us once you have accessed our online check out. As part of the ordering process you can review your order and correct any errors or omissions, on confirmation payment will be taken from your card. We will then send you an e-mail confirming your order, listing the items purchased

2.3 Our acceptance of and order takes place when the goods are despatched from our depot. We will send you a despatch confirmation via e-mail. When the goods are despatched the purchase contract will have been fulfilled, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled your order prior to despatch.

We may refuse to accept an order if:

A) Goods are not available or out of stock

B) We are unable to gain authorisation for your payment

C) There is a pricing or product description error

D) You do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in these terms and conditions

2.4 By purchasing products from this site, you certify and agree that you are authorized to do so, that you are the legal age to purchase the items and that you are authorized to use whatever payment medium (ie credit card, debit card, cheque etc) that is being used for purchases and payment. Intercoms R Us Ltd accepts no liability whatsoever for any purchases made contrary to this agreement.

2.5 Cooling Off Period. You have 14 days after purchase of goods if you change your mind.


3.1 You can pay with the following cards, via our NOCHEX credit clearing provider






3.2 All debit and credit card transactions are carried out by our card clearing service NOCHEX, once transferred to their server all transaction details are fully encrypted for your security. We do not store or retain any of your financial details ie(credit / debit card numbers)from your transaction. NOCHEX is solely responsible for the security of your information through their credit card clearing system. Please contact them directly through their web site about their services, security, privacy and other policies.

3.3 Any fraudulent use of credit and debit cards will be reported to the card issuing company for investigation

3.4 For unregistered users to NOCHEX the limit is £ 100 per transaction

3.5 All orders are subject to stock availability. If we do not supply goods to you for any reason, we will inform you of the situation and will not charge you for those goods, and will refund any money already paid by you for the goods. We are not liable for any financial loss incurred by you relating to interest payments, loss of earnings or similar gains you would have received on monies paid to us in lieu of any un-fulfilled order.


4.1 Delivery area is currently the UK MAINLAND 

4.2 Our mission is to dispatch all orders within 1-3 days of receipt, subject to stock availability this means that you should receive your order within 1 week (UK Mainland)

4.3 This company will not be liable for any loss to you, as a consequence of late delivery of goods

4.4 All orders will be sent by recorded delivery to the card holders address and will have to be signed for on delivery

4.5 All goods are supplied with a manufacturers 12 month warranty. This warranty does not cover goods that are misused or forcibly damaged


5.1 All prices shown on this site are without VAT at the current rates. Postage and packing costs are extra

5.2 Where there is a separate charge for packing, carriage and insurance these prices will be displayed elsewhere on the web site and are subject to change from the postal provider / Delivery service.

6.1 Before returning anything you feel is faulty, contact us on 0780 388 2407 or send an e-mail to explaining A) The make and model B) the exact nature of the fault. Whilst faults can occur, it is usually down to incorrect wiring, poor termination etc.

6.2 We reserve the right to test all returned items before a refund or exchange is issued

6.3 We do not send out advanced replacements, if you require a replacement item you can either

A) Order a new part from the web shop and return the faulty item for inspection and refund

B) Send item back and wait for the test and (replacement,if the item is found to be faulty), if item is found to be operational when tested, we will contact you with our findings and the goods will be returned to you after payment of a test and delivery charge

6.4 Intercoms R Us Ltd will not be liable in any way for loss of earnings, production of labour time or any other associated costs resulting from the installation of our products


7.1 If you wish to cancel your order you can:

A) Send an e-mail to before we have dispatched the order.

B) Return goods you have ordered from us for any reason within 14 days of receipt, with proof of purchase for a full refund or exchange. The cost of returning the goods shall be paid by you.

7.2 Upon agreement of refund, you have 14 days to return the goods to us.

7.3 Upon receipt of the goods in its original condition (ie any seals and shrink-wrap intact) we will give you a full refund of the amount paid for the product(s)less the delivery charge within 14 days to the original payment method used.

7.4 The right to return the goods as set out in 7.1 A & B shall not apply in the following circumstances:

A) If the product has been used.

B) If the products the packaging has been unsealed or is not returned in a saleable condition (ie parts missing, scratched or scuffed items etc)

C) Special order or customised items

D) If you ordered incorrectly or no longer require the items (20% Handling Charge will apply)

Items returned using standard Royal Mail or any other provider is at your own risk, Intercoms R Us Ltd hold no responsibility of liability for loss or damage to returned items in transit

Clause 7.4 does not affect your statutory rights

13.1 The Distance Selling Regulations 2000 are designed to protect customers who are not physically present with the seller at the time of purchase. They cover purchases made via email and the internet, together with telephone and mail order.

They only apply to transactions between businesses and consumers(individuals acting outside the course of their business) and do not include business-to-business contracts and auctions.

Under the regulations, consumers have the right to:

  • This estimate is based on the best information available at the time of writing and is produced from details supplied by the customer directly or from the results of a site visit. This estimate is a �suggested access solution�  based on  that information. It is the customers duty to read the specification fully and decide that the suggested system will fulfil their requirements prior to ordering and ask for any additions or changes to be made, as full payment will be required once the system is ordered in or fitted.
  • With "REMOTE QUOTES" (unseen quoted works) we have to assume that the building is of standard construction and layout, if there is a disparity between the quoted works and the requirements then found on site the job may be halted, refused or re-quoted with the additional information acquired.
  • With any quoted installation we allow for the handset / monitor to be mounted just inside the entrance door of the flat / house, longer cable runs or special requirements would be considered as extras to the quoted amount.
  • Payment (Non account holders)  Payment including vat is due on the day of  installation, please pay the engineer on site with cash or cheque, up to 7 days is allowed for BACS payments. Payment (Account Holders) terms are strictly month from date of installation, payment via BACS. All customers please note :  Title of goods does not pass to the purchaser  until full payment has been received and cleared, this includes any cable,  trunking & fittings supplied. In cases of non payment the company reserves its right to access for removal of goods or  use of collection agents for recovery.
  • Late payment of invoices will attract statutory interest, as set out by the UK Government of 8% plus the Bank of England base rate for business to business transactions. For further reading, please follow this link :

  • All equipment is guaranteed for 1 year from date of purchase against manufacturing defects, this does not cover original wiring, act of God or  wilful damage / vandalism, please retain your receipt.
  • For complete new installations the estimate provides for all the necessary wiring to be run neatly and hidden where possible, best use will be made of existing ducts, voids, service channels or conduits. Generally cables are clipped to the skirting.
  • In cases where original wiring is to be used, price assumes that cables are in serviceable condition , we will advise as soon as possible if there is a problem with proposed re-use of wiring.
  • Some dust is generated during the installation process , therefore we suggest that any electronic equipment and delicate items are removed from the area before work commences to prevent any damage. Our engineers are equipped with dust sheets for protecting the immediate work area.
  • Any existing equipment to be retained will at all times remain the responsibility of the customer and is not covered by any warranty.
  • Carpets and floor coverings occasionally have to be lifted to gain access for cable running or fault finding. In some cases old underlay / lino / hard board / cork / carpet tiles will exist beneath present floor coverings, these generally break up on being lifted, making reinstatement difficult, further work by others may be required to obtain a good final fit, although   every care will be taken by the supplier to minimise any damage, some may occur. The supplier  will not accept anyliability or claim relating to refitting of floor coverings (carpets etc), however the purchaser (at additional cost to themselves) may hire a  tradesman  to work alongside our engineers to remove and refit floor coverings, if required.
  • Every attempt is made to ensure that the descriptions in our estimates are as accurate as possible, if there is a part that has been omitted or cannot be carried out for whatever reason, you will be advised as soon as a problem is detected.

  • Price assumes that access is available to all flats on the day of installation, if tenant cannot be in please leave keys for  access with a neighbour, additional visits will be charged at the standard call out rate.
